Happy Halloween!

Posted on October 31, 2007

So since it is Halloween and I am all caught up on client sessions I thought I would share with you all my kids in their costumes.  We hosted the neighborhood Halloween Party here this Sunday so before everyone arrived I grabbed some shots of my three.  Two skeletons and a black cat.  :)

From our house to yours

Garrett is not into hugging his sister.  HA!

My black cat.

Scary cat face.

I think this is a new favorite.  My girls are so close.

My spooky skeleton.

After many different costumes this is the one she liked the most.  :)

An extra special family.

Posted on October 29, 2007

This family is very dear and near to my heart.  I met them about 1 1/2 years ago and since then we have all become friends.  They are a complete joy to work with, the kids are most adorable, and mom always dresses everyone with such style and class.  I just love it.  Mom is also a fellow photographer and she let’s me do whatever I want.  I love that.  :)  She totally gets my style and trusts my ideas.  Granted they don’t always work out, but she still lets me try.  This last session was one of my favorites with them so far.  The little man is getting so big and big sister is a complete joy to work with.  She is so engaging and fun to talk to.  I just adore her.

So enough gushing about how much I love them right?  On to the pictures…  I have SOOO many favorites from this session so it was really hard to pick which ones I wanted to post.  But here are few that think deserve to be on the blog.  The rest will be a surprise for Mom in her slideshow.  :)

Enjoy the “I” family!

My favorite shot of “K.”  I literally had about 1 second to take this shot.  We had just gotten down
to the wall when he walked over.  I was changing my settings at lighting speed to catch him.
I got one shot like this before he walked away.  I knew it was a keeper the minute my finger hit the shutter.

Big sister Miss “A.”  Isn’t she gorgeous?  Wow!

I love this shot of her.  So classic, comfortable and calm to me.

Brother and Sister

Posted on October 26, 2007

Last weekend I got to meet a lovely new family.  Big sister is only 15 months older than little brother so this mom is another mom I can add to the list of ‘very’ busy.  Mom and Dad were just lovely and the kids were so adorable. I know mom is anxiously awaiting a sneak peek so I wanted to get that up for her.   So here are just a few that I liked.

Two sweeties

Posted on October 25, 2007

What a fun session!!!  Mom is a friend of mine from high school.  We have only seen each other once or twice since graduation so I was super thrilled to do a session with her and her wonderful family.  She married her high school sweetheart and we all knew in high school that they were in it for the long haul.  :)  And almost 4 years ago they adopted these two most adorable children from Russia.   They are not related but there is only a few months difference in age so she pretty much has twins.  They are so much fun too and they so love each other.  We all had a good time.  So I wanted to share a few from the session.  I have just started going through these but these are a few that jumped out at me.

She had so many wonderful expressions… a natural in front of the camera really, but this one might just be my fave.  Such a sweet private moment.

He is a total sweetheart.  So helpful and such a peaceful soul.

And this one is my fave of them together (so far).  I love how she is holding his hand.  :)

Newborn… with a full head of red hair!

Posted on October 24, 2007

Isn’t he the cutest thing ever!!!!!!!  He looked just like a little man.  You may remember my maternity just about 6 weeks ago with the kitty.  Well I got to meet the newest addition to the house last weekend.  I think he holds the record for the fastest newborn session ever.  He was so good and so darn cute!  I had a wonderful time with him and his parents and I even got to give him a bottle.  :)  So I just wanted to share a few of my faves and I have tons more.  So be prepared mom and dad you will have big decisions to make when you get your proofs.

So meet my man… baby “J”

even caught a little smile.

Just my kids… and some pumpkins

Posted on October 23, 2007

So this weekend we ventured to a local nursery to see their pumpkin patch. We go every year to this particular place. It is close, never crowded and the kids have a blast. I managed to get a few shots of them and even made a little slideshow to go along with it. So if you have a couple of minutes and need a smile take a look. :)

Follow the link below to the slideshow.

My most photographed two year old.

Posted on October 22, 2007

At least by me anyway.  :)  I have have had many sessions with this little guy since he was born 2 years ago.  Starting with his newborn and now he is 2 years old.  He is just cute as pie.  And is a joy to work with as well as his mom.  I love that mom always wants to be in them and she always dresses so beautifully.  Her and her boy always coordinate so well.  :)  We had a great session in Piedmont Park last weekend,  (I know I am behind)  despite the what seemed like millions of people that had gathered there for the closing ceremonies of the 3-Day breast cancer walk.  But Piedmont is a big place so we found our own little areas.

A sweet baby girl and her big sister

Posted on October 22, 2007

I was so excited to hear that this baby girl made it into the world safe and sound.  Her and her big sister are only 15 months apart and as you might think their mom is quite the busy lady.  But this family just adores this new baby.  It is so obvious and so wonderful to see.  Even among all the chaos of a newborn and a toddler the atmosphere of this house was so comfortable and welcoming for me.  I had the pleasure of taking big sister’s newborn shots 15 months ago and I was thrilled to be back with this family again.  They are very near and dear to my heart.

So here is Mom’s sneak peek, hopefully she still makes it to the computer from time to time.  :)  Thank you S family for letting me capture and be a part of your wonderful growing family.

 And here is big sis!

Oh my gosh it is Friday!

Posted on October 19, 2007

I can’t believe it is already Friday.  I have so many sessions to catch you up on.  Three to be exact before my busy weekend starts tomorrow.  :)

So let’s get started…

This is my second year photographing this family.  They are so adorable and so fun to work with.  Three boys between the ages of 15 months and 4!  Wow!  Mom is a busy lady.  But they are all so adorable and behaved so beautifully for their session.  I had a blast photographing them and seeing how much they had grown.  One thing I love about this family is that they always want images of the children with mom and dad.  Sometimes moms don’t want to be in the shot and that makes me sad.  Remember moms, your children will want to know what you looked like when they were little.  :)  I am happy to say that I got some fantastic shots of this mom and her 3 special guys.  So here ya go mom… sneak peek.

One of my favorite shots from the session… mom and her youngest baby boy.

Kisses from the baby boy #2!

And even though I have a great one of the oldest with mom I thought I would throw in one with dad.  :)

The photographer in action…

Posted on October 17, 2007

During my Senior session last week my client’s mom asked if she could take some images of me in action.  I said SURE!  I always wonder how silly I must look during a session.  Crawling on the floor, standing on things, crouching and laying down.  Well now I know.  LOL!  I thought these were awesome though and I am thrilled to have them.  And thought it would be a hoot to share them with my blog readers.   Some of these were taken while I was taking the images posted below.  :)

This is my favorite one.  :)  Tattoo showing, iphone on my belt and lens cap in my back pocket (which looks like a can of snuff).   HA!

He was literally a foot taller than me so I had him squat a lot!  Next time I bring my step ladder.
I am not used to my clients being so tall.  :)

Thanks Lisa for sending these to me and allowing me to blog them.  I really enjoyed seeing them.

Photographer’s note-  I am using my new fave lens in most of these the 135 mm 2.0L.  Except for the first one and that is my 24-70mm 2.8L.  I love the wide side of that lens for Seniors.  So fun!
